We Are A Church That Believes In God.

St. Clare’s is one of the most magnificent churches in Manchester, noted for its unique simplicity and beauty. The church is under the pastoral care of Parish Priest Fr. Jeremiah Budau OFM Conv., with the support of Fr. Giles Zakowicz OFM Conv. Manchester, known as the gateway to the Northwest of England, is the second-largest city in the country. Now, the city’s centre is filled with medieval and modern art and masterpieces of Victorian architecture. It has several churches of outstanding beauty. Among them is St. Clare’s, the only Franciscan church in the city.

Our Church

Serving The Community For Nearly a Century

Over the course of 96 years, a very vibrant catholic community has emerged around St. Clare’s parish. It is keen to continue the Franciscan charism and reflect the best spirit of St. Clare of Assisi. Today, it also runs a prestigious school that provides an excellent education to hundreds of children.

Praise & Worship

At St Clare’s, our worship is centred on the Holy Mass, the heart of parish life. Together we gather to offer praise, share in the Eucharist, and lift our voices in prayer and song. Through worship, we are strengthened in faith and united as one family in Christ.

Faith in Action

Our parish life extends beyond the church walls. Through prayer groups, support networks, and community outreach, we live out our faith in practical ways, serving one another and those in need with compassion and hope.

I love this church, I go in every day to light candles and to say a prayer for family members that have passed. I would not change this place for anything as from a recent passing, it really has become a comfort.
